CLIENT CASE STUDY: England Rugby
PROJECT OVERVIEW: EDI LEARNING PATHWAY
In 2023, England Rugby, Premiership Rugby, and the Rugby Players Union collaborated to assess the Equality Diversity Inclusion (EDI) landscape within professional rugby across England. They identified the primary barriers and significant challenges hindering the sport’s journey towards greater inclusivity.
Using this data, eCoach crafted and delivered a customised learning pathway.
The learning pathway was a blend of online, face-to-face, and digital learning and provided training to over 2,000 players and staff members across England.

CLIENT FEEDBACK
“The workshops provided a safe space to have conversations that a lot of people wouldn’t normally have, and an opportunity to ask experts things they might not feel comfortable speaking to anyone in the business about. Also, the fact it was very interactive was beneficial as it kept everyone engaged and the breakout sessions gave individuals the chance to reflect on their learning.” – ZOE SLATER, HR PARTNER, BRISTOL BEARS
“It was great having eCoach come and present at the club. The presentation was very thought provoking and encouraged really good conversations at the club. The conversations have carried on throughout the week. It was also a friendly reminder that we are never a finished article when it comes to our EDI policies and infrastructure. It was a constant reminder that we have to keep improving as a club.” – WARRICK LANG, HEAD OF CULTURE, SARACENS RUGBY CLUB
