eCoach launches NEW online Training Platform with the Welsh Sports Association for the sport & leisure sector.
The new Welsh Sports Association (WSA) Online Training Platform, built by eCoach is designed for all colleagues across the sport and leisure sector to participate in accredited professional development.
There are two courses immediately available with both Welsh and English transcripts, furthering the WSA’s commitment to the development and utilisation of the Welsh language.
The online training course, Introduction to Sports Governance in Wales, is delivered by industry expert Amanda Bennett and is designed to broaden an individuals’ basic understanding of sports governance principles and practice in Wales.
The Legal Structures for Sports Clubs training course is delivered by WSA partners Loosemores Solicitors, and is designed for everyone working, or volunteering in the sport and leisure sector to broaden an individual’s understanding of the various legal structures available to sports organisations and clubs.
Both of these courses will conclude with a multiple-choice assessment; and upon completion, candidates will receive a certificate.
The WSA’s Commercial Manager, Tom Sharp, commented:
“We are delighted to bring this online training platform to WSA members. We appreciate that individuals don’t always have the time to commit to a face-to-face session, so this gives colleagues the opportunity to upskill in their own time and when convenient.
“Following the uptake of our Covid-19 Awareness Course for Sport & Leisure, we wanted to continue to offer a cost-effective training solution for clubs and volunteers, as well as our core membership base – the first two courses available do exactly this!”
“A huge thank you must go to Simon and his team at eCoach for providing the platform and bringing our content to life”
Director of eCoach Simon Richards said:
“All of us at eCoach are excited to have launched this training platform with the Welsh Sports Association. The Introduction to Sports Governance in Wales and Legal Structures for Sports Clubs training courses will help learners to develop an understand of these important topics in an interactive and engaging way.“
“This is just the start” Simon continued; “We’re excited to be able to offer our Accelerate.Sport catalogue of courses on the platform in the near future, providing the WSA and their membership with a huge range of online training modules on a range of key topics”
Speaking on the importance of the Welsh Language, Simon Richards stated:
“We recognised the importance of delivering these training modules in both Welsh and English. We share the WSA’s commitment to utilise and develop the Welsh language.”
